Vintage Hishimo San Francisco Cable Car with Figures Tin Friction
Here we have a very nice vintage San Francisco Cable Car with Figures Municipal Railway #504, made by Hishimo, Japan, circa 1950s. A terrific addition to your collection.
This whimsical tin friction cable car features nicely detailed tin litho passengers and conductors and services Powell and Market Streets on one side and Bay and Taylor Streets on the other. Bell rings when rolled. All tin except for the rubber wheels. It is in Good working condition with some scratches and wear, support posts on the back are detached from the roof, blue cellophane windows are intact, and the friction mechanism barely works. The cable car measures approx. 7" long. Box is not included. A wonderful example of a very collectible tin litho Japanese toy, offered to you with no reserve.
